One of three large notebooks, each of which contains a similar draft version of "The Rathfriland Volunteers and their Leader - The Rev. Samuel Barber, A.M." by A. Morrow. The script is comprised mostly of Morrow's own notes and writings but incorporates transcriptions of various documents (Barber's letters and pamphlets, newspaper articles, etc.; also extracts from the diary of Wolfe Tone (1792)). It provides details on Barber's life (1738-1811), the formation, members and activities of the Rathfriland Volunteers and other volunteer corps in Co. Down, and sectarian disturbances in the Rathfriland area
